Geof Wilson – Founder and Owner
Geof’s experience began at NC State University where he developed websites for academic use by the instructors of an introductory college course. In addition to his direct website development experience which began in 1997, Geof worked professionally as a consultant for Source Alliance where he assisted manufacturing companies with restructuring their business model for the electronic/information age. His main clients included Southwire and the National Fire Protection Association. He then was employed by the ABB Group on a project team charged with investigating and developing a plan to consolidate all global e-business initiatives for the company.
With Urban Driftwood, Geof is proud to have built a strong relationships with over 65 clients. Urban Driftwood provides these small businesses and non-profit organizations with consistent and reliable services that are based on a foundation of strong personal relationships. From design to maintenance and ongoing hosting. Geof has been dedicated to finding website solutions that are affordable, easy to maintain, and reliable.
In his free time, Geof likes to get his hands dirty and constantly tinker with new ideas. His latest commitment is the design and build out of an addition to their home. Geof and Christine own a c. 1919 commercial building in downtown Salisbury that has been (almost) completely rehabilitated from a deteriorated shell to a beautifully restored and vibrant contribution to downtown. Geof has provided almost all of the project oversight and management of the rehab along with a ton of the sweat equity that’s been necessary to bring this building back to life. They were awarded Best Historic Rehabilitation Project at the North Carolina Main Streets Awards in 2009.
Joe Girdler- Video Production, Social Media Guru – JG Media LLC
Since 1993 Joe has worked in video. His first efforts were making martial arts training videos for then 9th degree Grand Master Seung Gyoo Dong for whom he operated two martial arts schools. From that experience he moved to wedding video and legal depositions. In the late 1990’s and early 2000’s he taped and wrote many cable TV spots for local businesses in Davidson County and beyond. From this period to today he produced training and promotional videos for corporations and non-profits. However, from the mid 2000’s with the advent of Youtube and web video Joe has produced many web videos for companies and small businesses as well as documentaries.
Joe has produced two documentaries. The first was for the LandTrust for Central NC, “Ezra Gilliam, The Farm Provides” and the second was for the artist Robert Toth, called ” The Cultivation of the Individual”. He is currently in talks to produce his third documentary.
